San Francisco-based Revi has secured a $14.5 million Series A in a round led by Runa Capital.
The startup has developed an app that helps people find local restaurants and order, pay for, and collect food — while collecting rewards. It also uses algorithms to suggest orders for customers.
In an interview with Business Insider, CEO Eugene Johnson said the startup wanted "to drive the same value creation in a physical location, such as loyalty and rewards systems, with benefits of an e-commerce business with data collection and a better understanding of customers."
Luxembourg-based venture capital fund Runa Capital led the fund, with participation from Volition Capital and Precursor Ventures.
With the cash injection, Revi will grow its product, engineering, and sales teams, Johnson said.
